Analyst

This was for a lateral move to an analyst role with a Director referral. The process consisted of an initial phone interview with HR just asking about my skills and background. I had a second phone interview with an analyst who conducted a brief interview, no technicals just more background and experience questions. I was then invited to a Superday which was pretty much all laterals as I recall. We had a cocktail reception with all levels from analyst to Directors and then dinner with some analysts and associates. The interviews consisted of 5 one on ones with various VPs, Directors, and a MD. I prepped using WSO technical and fit guides and I found the technicals to be quite easy and I really only had 1 interview focus on those. I felt like the interviews were more about understanding of the markets and current events as well as a little bit of stressing/making you uncomfortable. Culture seemed pretty laid back and I understand the hours to be pretty heavy but not as bad as Street.
