I went in for what I believed and heard to be one of the toughest interviews out there for M&A in Milan. My interview was with 1 Associate, 1 VP and then another Associate. I was bombarded with technical questions, and when I was unable to answer, they kept pushing me and making me reason to answer correctly. Overall, I was quite pleased with how it went, although not 100% of the questions I answered were correct. Some advice I'd offer, especially to those applying to Milan offices in general, is to know your basic accounting inside and out, meaning that all line items should we understood to the letter - this will be handy during the valuation models questions, which I was asked about quite a lot throughout the interview.
