What did the interview consist of?
Presentation
IQ / Intelligence Test
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Frist round: 2 on 1 with HR and Associate. Simple why Roths, why now, a few technicals such as WACC of Facebook, value Facebook, would you invest in Facebook (it was FB’s IPO that day), what deals in the market are you interested in and the rational behind them. 30 mins numerical followed by 30 min verbal

Final round: 2 x 2 on 1 interviews with directors. 1st one was a 3 slide presentation on a deal, I chose a restructuring and one of the directors was in RX (bugger). Grilled on technicals, structural subordination, cap structure, legal reasons for jurisdictional differences of RX practices, legal reasons why you can enact a RX and the triggers of it. Valuation methodologies, why would you buy a firm with a higher EV/EBITDA compared to its peer group. Was motioned how high I scored in the round 1 tests, they seem important.

2nd interview was more relaxed, similar to the first round, talked about deals in the market (including questions on multiples of these deals), what deals I had done, a few technicals seems like one interview is a grilling on your technicals, the other is fit.

Overall: lovely people, seems to be a great culture, awesome offices, competition was HIGH, everyone at the interviews were 1yr + of post undergrad experience bar one guy who had exceptional internships.
