Investment Analyst

It was about a 30 minute phone interview. The first 15 minutes the interviewer just talked about the company and the department. He was very thorough - he actually answered all of my pre-written questions during this time. The next 15 minutes he asked very standard question, i.e. tell me about yourself, strengths and weaknesses, excel skills, and gpa. I got the impression they care a lot about gpa, as mine wasn't great and the interview was pretty much over after this. I thought that was kind of odd because in researching the group before the interview I saw how people in the group didn't come from very prestigious schools like I did, relatively speaking. So I'd say coming from a non-target doesn't matter with them but your gpa definitely does.
