C&IB Summer Intern

PNC came to our career fair and that was when I was first introduced to the company and was able to drop my resume with them. They then did on campus recruiting and had first rounds running two rooms simultaneously. The selection of candidates seemed kind of random to me but I think that's because PNC doesn't really go for the typical type A hardcore investment banking types. The actual interview was extremely behavioral and they pushed for you to express an interest in a specific area of their company which was tough because it was hard to find any kind of real information about each of the areas that you could have been placed. After this process, if you did well, you get invited to the superday where you are sorted into whatever area they think you would be the best fit for. Then, in a massive room at a hotel, they have booths set up where you do interviews for the entire day meeting with employees from that group from entry level to senior management. The entire process was hectic primarily because the HR staff don't seem to be the most organized but the people are amazing and all seem to be really trying to help you succeed. Seriously, this firm has some of the best people and culture that I've ever encountered.
