1 on 1 Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
On campus interview with Managing Director and 3rd year analyst who were both alumni.
This interview was not overly difficult, but they drive home on financial theory and frame the questions in such a way that make it sound very confusing. To put it this way, if you have just memorized the interview guides you will get destroyed because you don't know how to fully manipulate variables in your head quickly.
The super day consisted of 6 interviews in the morning with analysts, associates, vice presidents and an MD. They were all one-on-one which which surprised me.
This was a more technical interview than the first one and they really drove home on financial and valuation theory. These were not your standard walk me through a DCF or you buy $100 of assets with debt maturing in 10 years at 10% interest with a 40% tax rate.
