Investment Banking Summer Analyst

The interview consisted of a one on one interview that I initiated myself when I was in New York for a different bank's SuperDay and three phone interviews. I had three back to back to back interviews over the phone. I thought that these were first round interviews but it turns out that these were the only interviews. I received an offer two days later. The interviews were very diverse. The first interviewer was an MD in HR and asked only behavioral questions. The second was an analyst who asked behavioral half the time and technicals the other half. His technicals were the basic valuation/metric questions. Finally, I interviewed with an M&A analyst who asked pure technicals. The technicals were hard and they were all accounting based. My advice would be to have really good relationships with each person at the firm. Network and have good reasons why Oppenheimer.
