Intern

After signing up on the university's career webpage, the process started with an on campus interview. I was interviewed by a Director in M&A, although at the time I was more interested in a markets-based role. At some point in here I also had to submit an application online and do their IQ test.

Despite the fact that I didn't know everything he asked me, I managed to get to the next stage and was invited for some one-on-one interviews in Zurich. I was slotted for 3 interviews, but was delayed and missed one of them. Although I interviewed with an M&A guy in the first round, these guys were definitely markets based.

After the interviews in Zurich, I was then invited to go to London for a final stage of interview. I was scheduled for 4 interviews here, but was again delayed and only had time for 3.

A few days later, I was offered a position as an intern.
