Investment Banking Summer Analyst

Mizuho does on campus interviews. The analyst's flight was poorly scheduled so I was given a phone interview instead. The phone interview with a VP of recruiting and was a positive experience. The VP contacted me the day of the missed on campus and scheduled immediately. The interview was conducted within the week. The questions were fairly evenly split between behavioral and technical. The technical's consisted of questions about the industry, like who are the major private equity players, and news-related, such as what is a recent deal you've liked and why. The website is atrociously uninviting. It is very evident that this is a Japanese firm. However, the New York office seems to be very domestically oriented, although they admit they have a prominent seniority structure.
