Audit Associate

Since KPMG didn't directly recruit at my school, all I did was email the recruiting manager of the NYC audit practice my resume and asked about a position. A few weeks later I had a phone interview with another recruiter. I was later invited to the superday a few weeks later. The superday was an all day affair that consisted of breakfast, information sessions, group exercises, interview with a manager, interview with a partner, and a speed recruiting event with five employees. I got an offer within a day or two.

My advice is to relax and just be personable. Big 4 audit interviews are completely behavioral and do not include any technical questions. They're merely looking for people who get along with others and know how to present themselves to clients. The technical part of the job is taught later.

I liked the people I met at KPMG, which is why I chose it out of my other Big 4 interviews. I was very impressed by the effort the firm puts in their superday.
