Applied online without knowing anyone at the company. Completed a required numerical online test. Several weeks after the application I received an email stating that I am invited for a first round interview. First round consisted of 3 1-on-1 interviews with senior professionals from trading and research. One interview consisted of brainteasers only (the simple ones from "Heard on the street", got 10 out of 10 right, interviewer was very impressed), the two others were mainly competency. I was invited for interviews with FX options and rates derivatives 3 weeks later. FX options consisted of 3 30min interviews, one relatively junior trader, one more senior and one MD. The rates derivatives interviews consisted of 5 interviews of various length. The traders interviewing me were from various desks (inflation, sovereign CDS, swaptions, linear rates, Euro short end), and mostly Executive Directors. 5 weeks after the interviews I got a call that I was rejected even though one of the interviewers told me that he would like me to get the internship.
