Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I applied for this position via my school's online job portal. The interview took place on campus with one interviewer and lasted about 45 minutes.
The interview was fairly straight-forward. The questions were mostly behavioral and the interviewer took great interest in my finance extra-curriculars. At one point, the interviewer did ask me what "issuing debt" means and why a company would choose to go public. Afterwards, the interviewer talked about what he did at JPMC and how he recently moved into a "project manager" role. He talked about what an Ops analyst does on a regular basis and how being able to interact with the other departments (BO/MO/FO) would be crucial in being successful as an Ops analyst.
The one strange aspect of the interview was that interviewer was keen on reminding me that this was not an investment banking position.
