Please describe the interview / hiring process.
-Initially applied online with a CV and cover letter.
-Invited to an Assessment Centre in their head office in London.
-Spent the morning participating in a variety of activities: group pitch (split into groups and told to pitch as to whether ICAP should acquire a smaller european brokerage), maths test (very difficult - more of a trading game - had to convert currencies and buy a given quantity of a certain stock) and 1-to-1 interview (very hard, interviewer was difficult and didn't seem to want to be their, standard questions asked, but she kept probing deeper and attempting to unsettle you - this was the same for all the people who were interviewed)
-Interview questions asked: why did you choose your uni & degree, was this your first choice Uni, describe yourself in 3 words, tell me about when you've worked in a team, tell me about a team you had to make an ethical decision, what do you do in your free time, what do ICAP do, why do you want to work for ICAP
