Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I was contacted by a hiring manager after a connection got my resume to her. She had me apply online formally. I then had a phone interview with a hiring manager at corporate headquarters. She asked me very general questions such as what my interests are, times I've worked on a team, and why I want to work at IBM. She sounded pretty satisfied by by answers. She then referred me to a hiring manager in Rochester, who I interviewed with again over the phone. The second hiring manager asked very similar questions, although the interview was actually shorter than the first. I then had a discussion over the phone with a current financial analyst. We had discussion about the job and his experiences at IBM. Then a week later the first hiring manager called me and offered me the job, which I accepted. The interview questions were not technical at all. They seemed much more concerned with how much I wanted the job and how I've worked in teams in the past in school.
