Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The process was expedited thanks to a recruiter, though usually they have a phone screen. This place is different in that most tech people are contractors, so I was applying for a contract position. The hardest part of the interview was the initial skills test; they give each applicant several questions asking you to do fairly simple coding things, but they are open-ended so you can do a lot more work if you want to (test automation, etc.). The interviews themselves were fairly straightforward. One group asked some in-depth questions about my previous work on a technical level, but most others were looking at my experience. They are, to their credit, looking for developers who understand how to do test-driven development and their seems to be a lot of enthusiasm around the place for their work. I spoke to 6-7 or different people, so I got a fairly extensive vetting from people throughout the group.
