Investment Banking Summer Analyst

A couple of alumni from the school came down in November and interviewed about 20 candidates for IB and S&T. I go to a complete non-target, and so this was in no way organized OCR, more like the alumni feeling out who they would vouch most for for non-target superdays. After the initial interview in November, got an email in January inviting me to NY for a superday. Even though the position was for IB in NYC, the interviews were completed in the Jersey City offices across the river. Most of the other kids interviewing that day were also from non-targets (BC, Lehigh, Ohio State, etc), but slightly more target than mine. The superday was more like a 2nd round and possible final round combined in one day. We all had 1 30 minute, 2-on-1 interview at any time we could select from 8:30-12:30. They then told us to sit tight in their cafeteria, and wait for callbacks for final rounds by 3 pm. I was called back for 3 more 2-on-1s to start at 4:30, but I'd say ~80% of the applicants did not receive callbacks. Most of the questions were fit/behavioral, the interviewers really probed to see who I was as a person and tried to get a sense of my personality. HR called me the next morning with an offer.
