Please describe the interview / hiring process.

I made contact early with the GS VP who would be hiring me and whose team I would be working in. We exchanged emails months prior to the internship being posted on my campus recruiting database; this was definitely an advantage.

The interview was 30 minutes long however mine ended up pushing 45. It was the VP and another member of the team interviewing me at the same time. For the most part the interview consisted of me going over my resume, telling them about my interests and motivations, and just general friendly conversation. The interview was not very technical at all. I am a sophomore so this might have something to do with it.

Both GS employees were very friendly and professional, and I am looking forward to working with them this summer.
