IBD Summer Analyst

Had a phone interview with a VP. Asked fairly technical questions given the interviewer's background at Wharton. Did not really focus on behavioral questions, which surprised me because I always thought first rounds were just an initial screen. Got through to superday. Went to New York for the night and had a 3 hour superday the next day with 8 people. Various 2 on 1 and 1 on 1 interview. Also had 20 minutes to chat with current analysts in the very end in the conference room in a casual setting. Firm served as refreshment before releasing us. Waited over the weekend and got a call on following Tuesday to say that I was rejected. Overall, the office culture felt like it was one of cutthroatness and arrogance. Or at least from the people I met.
