- Contacted alum to network, had an enjoyable conversation but didn't think anything would come of it
- Out of the blue received an email from an associate within the Global Manager Strategies Team requesting a phone interview
Very basic phone interview, outlined the position, the interviewers work history at Goldman, gave my story, followed my story up with many technical questions regarding exactly what I did in previous internships.
Limited behavioral questions, but focus on work history and technical questions regarding classes taken and internship past.
- Selected for 2nd round, 7 interviews total at 200 West. All one on one. Range of interviewers from VPs to analysts. Each interview very different, some focused on technical skills in class groups, my work on my school's investment club and also hobbies I enjoyed outside school.
Very similar to phone interview, but much more confrontational and technical. No behavioral questions asked but definitely wanted to see the type of person I was outside finance,
