General Interview Information
Interview Details
First part of the interview was a brief behavioral interview, usual questions you would expect to be asked about yourself. Afterwards some elementary technical questions such as describing how the financial statements interact. The last part seemed like a combination of a case study and a stress test. I was asked to describe possible reasons as to why a company's profits might be declining and how I would go about finding a solution to this/these problems. It wasn't an interactive case study where it was a discussion between the interviewer and the candidate. Additionally, any proposals made were greeted with negative comments from the interviewer such as "Eh I guess" and "There are better answers" all while the interviewer maintained a bored/irritated/arrogant image. I figure this was just a stress test to see how a candidate would respond to a hostile client.
