Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The Japanese Business Services divisions of all of the big 4 forms primarily recruit from the Boston Career Forum, an annual career event in Boston aimed specifically at Japanese / English bilingual speakers. Most of the jobs at the event are geared towards Japanese people looking to return to a job in Japan after spending 4 years at a US university.

For applicants who have applied to the firms prior to the event itself, a phone interview takes place, after which you will be asked to attend the event at Boston. Being hired without the phone interview pre-screen is extremely unusual but not impossible (I am one such candidate).

Each firm has an information session, and you can schedule interviews on the Friday of the event. If they like you, you will be invited to a dinner that Friday night with firm executives and other applicants. Round two interviews take place the following day.

If you pass round two interviews, you will be asked to an office visit for final round interviews. During the office visit, I interviewed with 11 people in total; one after the other.

As a non-native Japanese speaker, I was drilled on my Japanese ability throughout the process. I would recommend anyone who applies to brush up on their Japanese skills; interview-appropriate formal speech in particular.
