Sales & Trading Summer Associate

Traditional on-campus recruiting, though only three real events: initial presentation, networking dinner, and desk visits. Fairly easy to obtain the invitation to interview, which began as a round one in a two-on-one setting. They had read my resume in some depth, though the interview itself was fairly laid back. It then moved to the final round very quickly; I believe they only cut the highly incompetent candidates. There was a reception the night prior to the interview, which was two separate individual one-on-one interviews with senior S&T folks. It became clear to me that they had already made some decisions before I even came into the room and had decided I was not the best fit for their program, though I still learned a lot from this interview about how to improve for later ones at other firms. One interview was all fit (this is where I intuited that I had already been crossed off the list) and the other was more technical. The technical interview went well enough.
