Investment Banking Summer Analyst

I am from a non-target school so the process was interesting. Day 1 was the non-target interview day. It consisted one 30 minute 2-on-1 interview. Then I waited around until 6pm that evening when a phone call said I was invited to the superday the following day. Day 2 was a superday for all schools, target and nontarget. There were two back to back 2-on-1 interviews. Neither were particularly technical. It seemed the interviewers were more interesting in judging my motivations and general intelligence than memorization. Everyone was polite and seemed happy to be interviewing. Work culture seemed to be much better than many other banks. The environment was not stuffy or stuck up. Rather, everyone seemed open and interested in helping each other as people as opposed to dog-eat-dog competing. I was waitlisted initially, but told I was at the top of the list. Two weeks later I received the offer and accepted.
