Full Time Analyst

I had interviewed with DB that past spring for a summer analyst position, but did not receive and offer. Through a friend at the firm, I was invited that summer to their networking event, which was filled with other summer analysts at other BB and lesser known banks/funds/etc. At this event, I made sure to make connections with a few of the senior bankers in attendance. After keeping in touch with one of them, I received an offer to attend the accelerated interviews taking place in mid-August.

The interview consisted of one 2-on-1 interview with a VP and Associate at the bank's downtown headquarters on a Friday morning. Most of the questions were fit, many of which were focused on the work I had done that current summer in my position as an intern at a fund-of-funds shop.

While I thought the interview went fairly well, I hadn't interviewed for anything in quite a few months and felt a bit "rusty". I wasn't too surprised to find out that I wasn't invited to the final round interviews (of which there would be two) that afternoon.

Overall, it was a fairly good process and I did not run into any of the stereotypical "jerk bankers" during the process. I certainly wish I had gotten the offer but I walked away from the experience with no ill will towards the company or their employees.
