CIB: Markets Summer Analyst

My experience:

I initially came into contact with Deutsche thorough a typical firmwide presentation/networking event on campus in the fall. Typically you only go through hr during the recruiting process, but Deutsche actually had VP's/Directors/MD's vetting prospects. I kept in touch with everyone I met at the presentation. In about a month and a half following the presentation, I had interviews. Fortunately, I had seen or spoken to both of my interviewers before. Both interviews were completely behavioral. My first interview was pretty easy - I got questions that were aimed at determining whether I had basic knowledge about the industry, position, etc. The only other questions I received attempted to gauge how much I had been following the markets (news). The second interview was more difficult. As aforementioned, the interview was only behavioral, but my interviewer really played hardball with the questions. They wanted to see what I really knew.
