Associate

Applied online, got through to first round interviews in NY. There were only two interviewers, an MD and an Associate and it was an hour long. It was fairly brutal, they tried to poke holes in my resume but were a bit too obviously just trying to see how I would react. Example question: why did you go to harvard? Isn't it true that only spoiled rich kids go there? Came out of the interview feeling like I bombed but made it to the super-day in Singapore. These were 3 separate 1-on-1 interviews with EDs and above. Not super difficult questions (no questions about markets, they are more interested in seeing what kinds of questions you ask and will drill into your resume a bit to see how well you know certain topics.) Afterwards there was a dinner with everyone (probably close to 50 candidates) where they want to see if you can be aggressive about networking. Ultimately I did not get an offer, not sure how many people they took (this was after they had already filled most of their slots from the internship class).
