Summer Analyst

Met the team at an on campus event, had dinner with the team, received an invitation for two phone interviews (about thirty minutes each). The first interview was with an associate, who drilled me with technical questions. Coming from a non-finance background, I found the technical questions to be over my head. I answered to the best of my ability, and the interviewer seemed put off. My second phone interview was with a new analyst who was much more sympathetic and asked more fit/behavioral questions. Overall, the interviews were more technical and harder than I anticipated for a first round, but the team was really great and encouraging. No offer in the end.
