Analyst Intern - Strategic Consulting

Started with a 30 min fit/case interview On Campus. Interviewer was very positive and encouraging. Case dealt with typical market sizing and had to decide between 2 product offerings, and which one the client should pursue.

Second round was 5 hours back-to-back at the firm. Met with Analysts, Senior Analysts and Senior Engagement Managers. Each interview was half fit and half case. Cases ranged from market sizing, revenue forecasting, acquisition analysis and new product planning. Very entrepreneurial culture, and everyone was easy going and extremely professional. Overall a great interview process with an excellent firm that is doing big things in the pharma/biotech space.

Was notified a week later that I did not receive the offer. Biggest things to take away: consulting is all about creating a logical and structured framework. Look at case-in-point but focus more on your classes and create your own frameworks. Good thing about this firm is that they give you feedback, unlike other places so you know where to develop the next time around.
