Global Market Risk - Internship

I was notified, about 3 weeks after submitting an online application, that I had been selected for a phone interview. The date for the interview was the next week and I was told I would receive a call from a recruiter. The next week I got a call from one of the VP's of the market risk group I applied to. Coming from a non-target and non-finance major I was given mostly questions about "why finance" plus a few technical accounting questions and general questions about the economy. The interview was suppose to last 15 mins or so but went nearly 45. Although I did not receive the offer, my interviewer seemed to genuinely care about giving me insight into the company and the industry in general.
