Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Capital One recruited heavily at my school. Process began in September with the career fair, info sessions, etc. I applied through the campus' career services and Capital One's website. I had to take a math skills test and personality fit test online, then I was invited for an on-campus interview. This first interview was a case interview, with a bit of behavioral thrown in as well. Pretty easy, it dealt with the effects of raising and lowering a customers credit limits, and the interviewers were not intimidating. That went well so I was invited to Richmond for the final round. Typical two-day process: reception in the evening, interviews most of the following day with breaks for lunch, time with current analysts in the finance rotation, a tour, etc. I believe there were 4 different 30 minute interviews: a case study, fit, behavioral and technical? My memory is escaping me. On the surface, the atmosphere seemed much more relaxed than most banks.. I'd even say some of the people I met were downright reserved. Recruiting and interview process was very well-coordinated, and warm in comparison to many others. My schools primary recruiter was great, lots of communication.
