Consulting Associate

This was the first and only interview I had with Cambridge Associates. I applied for this job through one of my professor's friends. Before applying, I had spoken to my professor's friend about CA for a good 30 minutes and realized that it was a great company (I liked that CA took such pride in working with NPOs).

After applying for this position, I received an e-mail a week and a half later, saying that I'd been selected for an interview. I was given the ability to choose my interview time. The phone interview consisted of questions regarding my resume, behavioral questions, and why I wanted to work at CA. The interviewer was nice, although at times I felt like she was not paying attention to what I was saying.

Towards the end of the interview (when I was given the opportunity to ask questions), I found out that consulting associates would NOT be able to transition into a full-time consulting position. I was told that I would need to get an MBA before I was able to do this. Afterwards, I was told by the recruiter that I would be hearing back from CA in a week, but no one ever got back to me. I chose not to follow-up because I accepted a job offer a week and a half after interviewing with CA.
