Investment Banking Summer Analyst

1. I received a initial phone screen through an alum who worked at a midwest private equity firm. He had a colleague there who use to work for Lehman Brothers, that colleague forwarded my resume to Barclays.
2. The phone interview was straightforward, mainly consisted of qualitative questions and understanding my backgroud.
3. I was invited to a final round a few days later and they flew me out to New York for a super day. It was non-target or a semi target super day.
4. The first step was a brief introduction by lead recruiter about Barclays. We got to meet all the prospective candidates as well
5. I had 2 1 on 1 interviews that last 30 minutes. I interviewed with a VP in the ibanking industrials group and a VP in private equity.
6. It 3 weeks took 2 to 3 weeks to hear back from the recruiter.
