Equity Research Summer Analyst

Interview process was very straightforward. Got a call from Barclays HR department asking to schedule an interview during the available timeslots. I showed up at the office and was given a nametag. The first interview was an hour long 2 on 1 with two of the Research analysts interviewing. Started off with the elevator pitch and then went into more specific questions, none were too difficult. The second interview was a 1 on 1 with a MD which was more behavioural, asking where do you see yourself in 5 years etc. The office atmosphere seemed good but the office was divided into two halves, one Equity Research and the other Investment Banking. It seemed these sides did not interact often.
