Corp banking/ credit risk analyst

The interview was for a credit risk analyst (credit risk is also corp banking at BNY). The interview consisted of a bunch of 1 on 1's with various group and department heads. It was fairly easy and not dry technical at all, they really wanted to hear that you live digging into an reading 10ks and "it's all about the notes" basically you do research and credit write ups and CIM's on company's listen to calls write up term sheets for deals etc. you only work 40 hrs a week but they recently moved all the analysts out to Pittsburgh..there are no longer any analyst spots in NYC in Pittsburgh. The pay is only 45k with a 5% raise every 6 months. Training program is solid. Analysts are broken into industry groups and you get solid industry knowledge...best bet for exit opps is to lev fin or the same industry group at an IB or a credit focused fund/research if you stay 2 years or so.
