IBD Summer Analyst

Applied online a few weeks before deadline, called on the day of the deadline to schedule a phone interview for the next day (since I was international). Had the phone interview which consisted of two separate interviews each with two people (VP and analyst each time). Fairly standard technicals and they were willing to help a little when you got stuck. About 25% fit/personality based questions.

Called the next day to organise final round for the following week. Final round was much worse than I expected to be. Compared to my other interviews, minimal hospitality was offered - no drinks offered, stuck in a tiny room. Two sequential interviews each again with two people (both MDs). Although I was told the final round was more about fit, they still through in many technicals and as I answered each one they tried to go more in depth each time. I still think I did ok on them despite getting stuck on one or two. The rapport between me and the interviewers was never truly there - they were a bit awkward and that was not what I expected it to be like.
