Got the phone screen via a head hunter. The phone screen was conducted by two people, and they asked questions in turn (not a back to back interview).

The interviewers seemed to more interested in Database related questions. And actually all the questions are about database. As far as I can remember, questions include,

1. How to config Hibernate for an application
2. What is Hibernate first & second level cache, how to use them and what is the trade off
3. SQL join query syntax;
4. Can you write complex sql query?
5. How to monitor and optimize sql query performace
6. Have you ever used NoSQL?

I did not answer some of these questions. It make sense to ask DB questions since they are so fundamental and I put a Java Hibernate application development experience in my resume, while I am not sure I should be expected to be a DB expert because of that. Also I feel some questions are not very well formulated.

In any case, from a following talk I got to know that this position will deal with a lot of database query and SQL programming, which I definitely not a good fit for.
