Please describe the interview / hiring process.
First round interview was on campus and consisted of two 45 minute interviews back to back, both with Post-MBAs that had been with the firm for a couple of years. Each interview consisted of approx. 5-10 minutes of fit questions (i.e. Why Bain? Teamwork story, etc.) followed by a 25-30 minute case and then 5-10 minutes for me to ask them questions. Both cases had exhibits and graphs and required quantitative and qualitative analysis. Each case was a project that the consultant had personally worked on. Received a call passing me through to the second round that night from one of my interviewers. Second round was a week later and was at the office. Second round consisted of three interviews with three different partners. Interview started with an hour to analyze a PPT deck which consisted of about 50 slides and come up with client recommendations which I had to write onto blank PPT slides and present to one of the partners. Other two interviews were similar to the first round, started with a few fit questions, followed by a verbal case and then some time for me to ask questions. Overall very good experience, enjoyed everyone I met and the cases were tough but fair. Had the impression that all of my interviewers wanted me to succeed which took some of the pressure off.
