Dumped
I just got dumped from an interview a day before I was supposed to have it (first round). Anyone have a hypothesis as to why? I assume the worst, i.e. there's something toxic about me I'm not seeing. But about 24 hours before the interview I got. An e-mail saying "over capacity" and "no longer be able to accommodate (me) for the 2008 selections process". This coming after a face-to-face (scheduled at my school, witch a bunch of others) needed to be changed to a phone interview. And arm wrestling with the recruiters for the interview in the first place.
Oh yes and they "apologized" for the late notice. Reprehensible treatment aside, any ideas as to what might of killed things?
And yes, I tried asking why but I couldn't get a strait answer..blame the boss bs blah blah...
It's not necessarily that you're a bad candidate. You might just not be their best (as they see it). So, if they overscheduled, they might have bumped you.
try other places and don't get bogged down.
They probably filled their class earlier than they expected.
Don't beat yourself up man. I'm sure it isn't you. Chin up.
The more you think into it, the more you create a situation that doesn't really exist.
All that being said, it is still a highly unprofessional move on their part.
this happened to one of my friends, i think its probably bcecause they filled up their class
