Financial Advisory Compensation
I know the answer to this question can vary greatly, but does anyone have any insight as to what the starting salary/compensation would be at a small financial advisory firm (in the Washington, D.C. area).
I'm referring to analyst type jobs for recent graduates.
finance sucks. Anyone going into it now either enjoys bending over and taking it up his ass or working like a slave to pay for your MDs mortgages and maseratis
How small is small? AUM? Most advisories are starting to have to deal with the fact that a 1% fee means that you can't be very small for very long. If you're worried about job security, I'd be hesitant to sign on with anyone really small. If you're worried about salary, you can probably come up with a napkin number with the AUM, overhead, other employees, etc. .
