Canadian BB PWM Internship

Recently, I have been cold-emailing a bunch of firms within Canada for freshman PWM internships. However, it seems to me that some of the top BB firms (GS, MS, JPM etc.) have very little presence within Canada compared to the Canadian banks (RBC, TD, CIBC etc.). I’d just like to confirm if my speculations are true and whether a PWM internship at a Canadian bank is worth it (I can choose to do a study term during the summer and apply for better opportunities next year).
