What are some of the most ridiculous backgrounds that you have seen transition into a high finance/prestigious role?

Whether it be a lateral or educational approach, I often hear of the typical motivated Person X break into a prestigious career (IB, VC, PE , HF, RE, Corp Dev., Consulting etc.), coming from a not too traditional background (Engineer, Military, Lawyer, BO/MO etc.)

Have any of you heard of some ridiculous transitions from completely untraditional backgrounds ? Please share.

A few examples I've heard of:

Traveling Magician -> MBA -> VP at an EB
Owner of Yoga Studio Chain -> Gets Bought by PE Firm -> Becomes Partner at said PE Firm
Poultry Salesman -> Ops for Agriculture Company -> Strategy Consultant (not covering Agriculture).
