Should I list my residency status?

I'm a permanent resident here in Canada and was wondering if it's important to list that fact somewhere on my resume for SA recruiting; I know it's important in banking in certain countries but not sure if worth mentioning here. Would appreciate any insight from a monkey in the recruiting loop as to whether it would help or raise eyebrows as I've heard conflicting views from some in the industry.

Resume aside, is there a general known but unsaid bias in IB against hiring non-residents which would make it worth mentioning at all? Most of my past work experience has been abroad.

Your work history has the locations you worked at, if the last 1-2 jobs were in Canada I would, theoretically, leave it at that. When the application system asks you for sponsorship requirements you can select "NO".

I understand the validity of the questions because in some job markets abroad applicants are "asked to put personal details", like visa status, residence, even photos and more.

One Canadian specialty is if you don't have "Canadian experience" or local education - some employers or line managers could discount foreign experience/credentials. But it is also used for applicants who are "not the right fit". I am assuming you are not in this group.

While this sounds great, is it safe to assume you have no local work experience at all? Then this would be the main factor you want to address.

I wouldn't mention residency or visa status at all, with PR you are "like everyone" as in you don't need any sponsorship.

I have no local work experience, except for being a uni finance lab assistant, because I found it hard to land a summer internship here (makes sense considering 2nd and 3rd years would be first picks) and so decided to do one in Singapore to also spend time with family but still make good use of my time.

I did get to work on some cool internal strategic projects though and did some 3-statement projections that I can speak to.
