Resume Advice

Left my previous associate role 2-3 months prior to starting my senior associate role. Was wondering if it's ok to change the date on my resume as if I only had a couple weeks off before starting the senior associate role vs 2-3 months (i.e., to avoid unnecessary questions or negative perception from potential interviewers). Wanted to confirm if this is something that can potentially bite me in the ass / is easily discoverable. Understand not really a big deal. Figured having a more reasonable transition rather than 2-3 months in between roles is more desirable on a resume and less suspicious to other firms.
