Rainbow Resume??

Saw a post dated in 2015 about some guy with 2.9 gpa, nontarget, no finance internships getting interviews at a bunch of BBs and EBs. He said he stood out because he used nice colors on his resume. Lemme also mention he got CFA level 1 his senior year which probably made a huge difference.
I just wanna know what you guys think about a colorful resume?

I would say he probably had some solid connections or did really well with networking because I highly doubt that colors on his resume were nice enough to overshadow the stats/experiences you mentioned above. I always hear to keep the resume black and white from bankers so I would stick to that if I were you.
You could potentially get dinged for having color on your resume because it's just a "rule" and they may think you're not informed about industry resume standards whereas you won't be dinged for having a black and white one.
