GPA Questions

I am a sophomore in college applying to 2024 summer internships right now at a target school. My gpa is on the lower end -- 3.55 but I am studying a STEM major. I have a couple questions regarding my application

  1. What firms are out of reach? Are the top 3 BBs still achievable with a 3.55 GPA?
  2. I took really easy classes on purpose this semester (aka no STEM classes) to boost my gpa and it should go back up to ~3.7 after this semester. Should I just report my GPA as 3.7 if my transcript will reflect that by late May?
