Real Estate Tech: Thoughts?
Hey everyone. I was just wondering what your thoughts on real estate tech was.
More specifically, how is it right now, what's available, and what can use improvement?
Anything related to real estate tech, please feel free to comment below!
From my experience working at an acquisitions firm, I can see real estate tech. being integrated greatly. I remember recently we added Lavamap (beautiful imo because it was color coded and the info. was thorough.) Although the info. wasn't fully accurate (mostly obtained through public records and licensing for their database) it was accurate for the most part and very user friendly. I could also see constant improvements in data centers, quicker transfer of data, etc. However, from my understanding, it is difficult to retrieve data from certain parts of the states (as my friend told me while dealing with a case in Mississippi.)
I do hear talks about the integration of smart contracts and how real estate could be digitalized. I do believe that real estate would verge towards being more digitalized, but it wouldn't result in mass displacement of the field as it is a relationship-driven business, and the government will be regulating technology.
Let me hear what you guys think!
