London Real Estate PE

I'm currently at a BB working in the real estate team, top bucket, and have very good relationships with seniors/management. Second year analyst becoming associate in c. 7-8 months. I'm thinking of switching sides but not immediately als I feel like I can still learn a lot at my current job (even though the hours are bad) and I have a very stable position at the bank.

I was wondering what the best real estate funds are in London and what the salary is like, also if they give carry (or if this is only for smaller funds). Is work life balance better at real estate funds generally speaking, and is at as bad as IB for the top funds?

As for sub sectors I really like office but clearly that is a bad sub sector because of WFH etc. Which sectors are best in london?I know the most important thing should be what I am interested in but I want to balance this with stability and a good future.

If anyone has any advice or info thank you!

Honestly, those two points are most important to me so that is great to hear. In an ideal world, I would of course have those two points and the same/better comp but I definitely know what I would prioritize (living).
