Compensation Advice
I was a senior analyst doing middle office work at a Bank. I was there for 3 yrs, then I transitioned over to RE as an Asset management analyst working for a small investment firm 3B AUM in the South East. However, I took a pay cut when I switched to the new role. I've been there for 9 months now. Is it okay to ask for a raise this upcoming review in Dec or wait for the next performance review which is mid 2020? Thanks.

Ask for the raise respectfully but have a case outlined explaining why you deserve the raise. Cite market comp range, your contributions to the team, etc... Also ask for more than you want to achieve so your firm can negotiate down and feel good about it. However, make sure your ask isn't ridiculous.
