Top BB In Europe Vs. Lower BB / EB In London Exit Opps

I did an internship at GS / MS / JPM in my home country and got a full-time offer for 2024. I really want to move to London and my goal is to pursue a career in PE / growth equity in London. I was going to apply for FT positions this cycle but none of the US BBs will recruit for FT in London so that leaves the EBs and European BBs (excluding UBS ofc). How will my exit opps from an EB / European BB in London stack up against GS / MS / JPM in a major European hub (think Paris / Frankfurt / Milan)?

I was in the same boat as you. Got a couple of offers from EB’s in London but none that I consider “top” and would place them well-below the BB offer I got in my home country.

Decided to apply for FT in London next year and just fill this year with PE internships. Based my decision solely on what I wanted to do (go to London) and less on what would be the best for my CV.

How did you reason around the risk of not getting a good FT offer? I.e. what if market next year is also shit and you end up not getting a FT offer?
