Thoughts About Joining PE Firm as Only Junior?

Have networked really well with this PE firm that has no juniors at all. It is just 2 partners that have worked in PE for 25+ years each. Deal size is $3 to 10 million, average revenue of portfolio company is $2 to $20 million. No information online on prior fund raises, performances, etc. They have 5 portfolio companies currently, no information on their prior exists. What are the potential pros and cons? Thoughts?

The partner said he wants me to join the team and I am getting coffee with him this week to let him know my decision. Any other things I should consider / questions to ask? Much appreciated.

Have they ever had juniors?

Two potential issues I see with this - 1) sounds like they do everything themselves, so you may be taking on very low-level work; and 2) this can be very isolating socially if you are extroverted

Did they give you the economics? I would want more carry here to make up for not joining a more established firm... that also assumes you're competitive for those larger firms of course
